CHANGE YOUR BELIEFS, CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
When you learn how to change your beliefs, you will have the power to completely change your life. It’s not the easiest in the world to do but, once you’ve mastered this, you can literally master any area of your life!
Our beliefs have been formed by our past experiences – the people around us and situations that we’ve been in. Or they could have been influenced by religion, your culture or simply just that we decided (maybe subconsciously) that this is who we are.
No matter how much money you have, how many people you know or how much time you have invested in something you desperately want, your mind will never allow you to reach that goal if you have a single limiting belief towards it. No matter how much you try!
You will subconsciously sabotage any amount of success you have, due to your limiting beliefs – I never understood this fully until I took the time out to become aware of my beliefs towards a particular thing, so I could begin to unpick, challenge and change them.
When we change the way we see ourselves and our beliefs about what is true, only then can we begin to truly change from the inside out.
So an example of a limiting belief would be that for whatever reason, you believe that life is hard. But the problem with this is that, it’s you that see’s life this way. Life is not really this way.
Life is life. It is whatever you decide you want it to be. For you to believe that life is hard, you had to have been in a situation that influenced you to think this way. It could be that you heard a parent say this in the past and you just adopted their way of thinking.
Whatever it may be, it is a 100% possible to transform your beliefs to attract more of what it is that you do want in life instead.
AWARENESS IS KEY FOR MINDSET SHIFTING
The first and most important thing to begin with is awareness. Awareness can help you identify your negative thinking and start creating new beliefs that benefit you. You can do this by asking yourself ‘what would I need to believe is true for me to be experiencing this right now?’ – because emotions come from feelings/beliefs we have. If we do not have a particular belief in something then we simply won’t have an emotion.
For example; if i tell myself that ‘it’s so cold outside today’ – this is a neutral idea. It depends on my interpretation of the cold weather as to what the emotion is that I feel. But if you give this a positive meaning instead, you will feel only positive emotions. It’s a case of simply asking yourself these questions, to identify what may have led to you thinking a particular way. You can then change it to something more beneficial.
Someone else may feel that the cold weather actually makes them happy because they enjoy seeing rain. It is all about the beliefs we hold as to what meaning we then give to things.
Use your imagination!
Imagine what your life would look like if you simply just believed that you could do anything you wanted to. We are the ones who place limitations on ourselves. ‘I can’t do that’ or ‘I don’t have the money for that’ are limiting beliefs. These beliefs will keep us stuck where we are because we haven’t done anything to challenge those beliefs.
If you can try to see things from a different perspective, life will open up for you in ways you could never imagine!
